Hardly a day goes by that we don’t see a bird in the sky, in our yards, or find evidence of their existence on the once clean paint of our cars.  Perhaps that is why director Alfred Hitchcock’s movie The Birds is so effective in its ability to terrify us.  This Alfred Hitchcock Birds t-shirt reminds us of what happens when our friends in the sky decide, for no apparent reason, to attack.  The front of the tee displays an athletic style logo for the Bodega Bay Birds, an obvious tribute to the movie’s seaside setting and its winged antagonists.  The film never explains why the birds attacked.  Was it just a random occurrence or do the attacks symbolize the disruption that outsider Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) brings to the small town, in particularly the jealousy and dislike that Mitch Brenner’s clinging mother Lydia (Jessica Tandy) has for Melanie?  However you interpret the story, this Alfred Hitchcock Birds shirt is the perfect way to spark a discussion about the movie.
