Description:
Debuting for the 1960 Christmas season, the Etch A Sketch drawing toy from the Ohio Art Company went on to become one of the most popular and recognizable toys ever made. This Etch A Sketch phone cover disguises your iPhone to look like the toy, with a rudimentary Apple logo etched onto the screen. Created by French inventor André Cassagnes, the Etch A Sketch uses aluminum powder and a stylus controlled by two knobs, one for vertical direction and one for horizontal. Shaking the toy causes the aluminum powder to coat the back of the screen and moving the stylus causes the powder to be erased, leaving a dark line that is actually a window into the dark interior of the toy. If you own the toy, try drawing (erasing) a solid window into the interior of the toy to see its components. Use this retro Etch A Sketch iPhone case to let everyone know that the appeal of certain toys is eternal.
