Diana Frances Spencer was born July 1, 1961 in Sandringham, Norfolk, UK.  After dating her older sister Sarah, Prince Charles took interest in Diana.  They were engaged on February 6, 1981, less than a year after they began dating.  On July 29, 1981, just weeks after her twentieth birthday, Diana Spencer became The Princess of Wales during a ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral.  Less than a year later Prince William was born on June 21, 1982, followed by Prince Harry (officially named Henry) on September 15, 1984.

Lady Di dedicated her time to a number of charities and individuals, including children’s hospitals, the homeless, AIDS patients and more, not only in England but around the world.  Even after the fairytale ended in divorce on August 28, 1996, she continued on with her efforts.   Her untimely death in Paris a year later on August 31, 1997 shocked the world and dimmed the spirit of a nation that was lucky to have her.  Now that she is shining through in the charity work of her sons, we remember her fondly with this I Would Have Liked to Have Known You Princess Diana shirt.  Her simple silhouette is accented by the mark of a princess, the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara that she was given as a wedding present.  As Elton would say, “Goodbye England’s Rose, may you ever grow in our hearts.”  Everyone wishes they could have known you.
