The TV show Wings ran eight seasons from 1990 to 1997 and featured the employees of Tom Nevers Field Airport in Nantucket, Massachusetts.  Clean cut Joe Hackett (Tim Daly) owns and runs Sandpiper Air, embodied here on this t-shirt, with his goofball pilot brother Brian (Steven Weber), dense mechanic Lowell Mather (Thomas Haden Church), and counter helper Fay Cochran (Rebecca Schull).  Their small business competes with Aeromass, the only other airline operating from that field, owned by obese businessman Roy Biggins.

Since Tom Nevers Field is a single terminal airport, the rivals often encounter each other at the lunch counter run by wishful cellist Helen Chappel (Crystal Bernard) whom Joe ultimately falls for.  Add in now well-known actor Tony Shalhoub (Monk) as down on his luck taxi driver Antonio Scarpacci and you have quite a cast flying around.  Snag a Sandpiper Air Wings shirt if you think this ensemble was the perfect combination of personalities for this airport based TV comedy.
